The Aikido Interaction Model - Seminar

| Description 

You learn to communicate according to an interaction model that provides support when interaction contains barriers, differences, challenges, or escalation. This interaction model has been researched and inspired by a Japanese martial art: aikido.

| Approach 

The training introduces the fundamentals of the aikido interaction model, both theoretically and psychophysically using simple aikido movements. We then apply the model to external case studies and real-life situations brought in by the participants. There is much interaction and variation. We will not be watching a slideshow the whole time: we will be switching between sitting, walking, talking, writing, laughing, learning, and remembering.

You will learn communication principles and skills to achieve noble outcomes clearly, constructively, and courageously. 

• Knowledge and understanding of the aikido interaction model. 
• Self-regulation for physical, emotional, and mental calm.
• Co-regulation for connection through softness, purpose, and empathy.
• Noble motivation for constructive and appropriate outcomes.

Applications can include verbal, non-verbal, written, formal, and informal communication.

In short, you will learn to communicate with an interaction model incorporating self-regulation, co-regulation, and noble outcomes. Each participant will go home with a personal action plan.

| Duration

Three residential days in our seminar place in the Belgian Eifel (Southeast Belgium).

Two 1-hour online follow-up sessions for the whole group together.
