Aikido - The founder of aikido, Ueshiba Morihei, was convinced that martial arts do not exist to conquer opponents, but to pursue harmony, happiness, peace and respect. Aikido achieves this by training body and mind as a whole. This is why many aikidoists develop an attitude in which they use their powers positively in every aspect of life.
NLP - The founders of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) are the American linguist John Grinder and the American mathematician Richard Bandler. They were wondering what made successful people so successful. They discovered that extremely successful people saw life in a specific way: They used perspectives (consciously and subconsciously) which made them more successful than others. The purpose of NLP is to transfer competencies of successful people (experts) quickly and efficiently.
Nonviolent Communication - The founder of nonviolent communication is the American psychologist Marshall Rosenberg. He travelled the world to spread his ideas on communication. He was both a man of a great theory and a man of practice. He used nonviolent communication to talk and mediate in areas of conflict and war. In communication, opinions collide and needs often seem incompatible. Nonviolent communication is a simple process to clarify what is bubbling inside you, what is inside the other, what does the other really need and what would enrich your life at this very moment.
Leary's Rose - Timothy Leary developed a communication model which is the result of a psychological research on behaviour. Leary's Rose assumes that behaviour creates behaviour. Hence, the Rose is based on action and reaction, cause and effect, send and receive. The biggest benefit from Leary's Rose is the fact that the Rose shows what behaviour is created by what behaviour and how we can influence it. The Rose types behaviour, not personalities.
