Aggression Management and Emotion Regulation

Tailored | Also in communication therapy

  • Aggression Management and Emotion Regulation

| Description

Managing aggression and regulating emotions are skills that can be learned. You discover how patterns and defensive reactions on the one hand, and posture, breathing, attention, timing, and positioning on the other, directly influence both yourself and interactions.

| Target Group

For everyone.

| Approach

The training course starts with external cases and the participants' input: questions, examples, and experiences. There is much interaction and variation. We will not be watching a slideshow the whole time: we will be switching between sitting, walking, talking, writing, laughing, learning, and remembering.

| Contents

You will learn principles and skills to regulate tension, frustration, and escalation. You will explore:

  • insights into behaviour, tension, and interaction under pressure
  • how automatic patterns and defensive reactions influence communication
  • physical, emotional, and mental self-regulation
  • the importance of safety, boundaries, and perception
  • how calmness, attention, and positioning influence interactions

The exercises and applications may involve both verbal and non-verbal interactions, in formal as well as informal professional contexts.

In short, you learn to deal with tension and aggression more consciously and constructively, with attention to self-regulation, co-regulation, and appropriate behaviour. Each participant will go home with a personal action plan.
